Photographer’s Note

Sorry Folks, I should never post after spending the day trying to get my Dad to agree to accept some help. I posted a version that I had briefly tried to stitch together two photos to give the goose the rest of his tail feathers. Recognizing that it wouldn't work, I gave up the effort. When I selected a photo to save for the web, I pulled up the wrong photo. My sincerest apologies. I would repost but on my previous attempt to repost, I lost the critiques posted. Some were understandably annoyed with my dumping their work. For the present, I’ve posted the correct version in the workshop. So let me know, repost or not?

I’m uncertain if the Canadian Geese on Mirror Pond migrate; they appear very comfortable with people. Around our place, there certainly is a huge increase in Canadian Geese in September The Pacific Flyway starts in Alaska and follows the coast to mouth of the Columbia River Where they cut inland and fly to Tule Lake in Northern California or on down to the Sacramento River Delta. The Pacific fly way isn’t used as extensively as the Eastern, or the Missippippi flyways; perhaps because temperatures are more temperate. Canadian Geese mate for life although there is an occasional rare divorce. About 10% of both males and females form same-sex relationships. More information on Mirror Pond
