Photographer’s Note
Four of the Volcanic cones of the Cascade Mountain Range look down on Bend Oregon. They include the North (10086 ft/307.6m), Middle (10047ft/319m)and South Sisters(10,358 ft/3,157m), shown here. The two shorter peaks, Mt. Bachelor and Broken Top were posted earlier.
This is three photos pasted together and I did post a large version. It isn't really good enough to stay up, there's too much noise in the sky but it's the best I've managed so far so I'll leave it up for a a while for feedback

Hello Pat,
nice shot of the three sisters. We also have a three sister here in Canada. Three mountains sitting together.
Nice crop and framing of this picture. The clouds specially look very nice in their grey color. I see you also captured a bird flying on the left. Nice work Pat :-)
BTW, our mountains received a big dump of snow not long ago. Most of it is melted already but soon they will be white again.

Olá Pat
Like an older post that I commented today, the clouds here seem like smoke from the volcanos. I like the composition, but to the left there is "too much" of the dark lower mountain.
The large version is great, but my screen isn't large enough for it :-/

Hi Pat. Great photo. The line of cloud breaks up the expanse of the sky nicely. It’s good a bird in the sky also. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hello Pat,
I notice the bird, nice!
Interesting lines in this composition, enhanced by the format...
Lovely strong colours, seems like there is some freshly fallen snow too!

to reduce the noise on the sky, did you try a sofTware as neat image? it is free and efficient.

You've been busy in my absence with some excellent posts. I love the colour of the sky and the clouds as they hug the mountain tops. It's a lovely contrast with the snowy peaks. I have no advice on large posts as the only time I did one I took it straight off because it was pixellated rather than noisy. How about just reducing the size a bit so the vertical fits on the screen. Just a thought - not sure if it would make any difference, but Angshu did that a week or two ago.
Great work on the Cascades.

Hi Pat, I enjoy your mountain series with good explanations adding to the good photographs. Good way to learn about the world via your lens. Murray.

Hi Pat
How on earth did I miss this one?..then I saw the date of your post..was in Kolkata that time (Durga Puja). Wonderful pano & impeccable stitching. The large version is all the more excellent. Love the bird flying across the frame. Yes, as Kath said, reducing the height/size a wee bit helps in avoiding the pixellation...but I don't see much in your larger version. This place sure does deserve such a glorious shot..and as I said before I've lots to learn from your landscape shots. Bravo!
Regards
Angshu

Aha, there is a picture that escaped my eagle eye. The horizontal framing and the panorama-like formation does a very good job in the overall presentation of this shot. The fog gives an interesting effect of unifying the three sister hidden behind the trees and mountains.
