Photographer’s Note
The Cascades Lakes Highway is all about lakes and volcanic cones; however this young man has found perfection in an ice cream cone. We're back to the group gathered at Elk Lake for the wedding; on this trip I'll be alternating between scenery and people shots. The lodge owner/manager was busy serving ice cream as the guests lined up for ice cream; peppermint was a favorite. This young fellow was the first of his group to get a cone so his admiration had a touch of triumph over his fellows.

Bons dias Pat!
Nice precise moment captured. Children (and adults!) are crazy for ice cream; but I always hated this kind of cone. Maybe I'm not a normal person ;-)

He looks as if he is going to enjoy his icecream. Very good candid capture; well timed.
This was certainly an informal wedding party.

Wonderful colors and lighting. It must have been hot; the ice cream is already melting!

Hello Patricia
The little things in life tuly makes it worth.
I'm pretty sure that no matter what great place you ever take children they will always find something as simple as an icecream cone to really satisfy their wishes and hopes for the trip.
When I was little my parents took me to a great and famous waterfall in Norway... well needless to say I didn't even see the waterfall, I just saw the tiny trickle running down the rocks beside it!
Simple composition to the photo but it works just so well.
Light conditions look ideal, just he right amount of light to this boys face to really bring out his expression.
The slightly blurred background works great and really puts the right attention to the boy...and his icecream.

Hello Pat,
Your portait of this young man has not recieved much attention so far but I think that it is very good addition to your travel theme. The boy is obviously licking his chops to taste this delicious cherry ice cream. My problem is that I still have his craving for ice cream but I am not skinny anymore like he is. What the heck. I am going to enjoy my ice cream anyway. Good work!
