Photographer’s Note

Hello Everyone,

today I'm going to start to upload the pictures of my trip to New Mexico, a beautiful state...
Taos Pueblo is the only living Native American community designated both a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and a National Historic Landmark. The multi-storied adobe buildings have been continuously inhabited for over 1000 years. The main part of the present buildings were most likely constructed between 1000 and 1450 A.D. The appeared much as they do today when the first Spanish explorers arrived in Northern New Mexico in 1540 and believed that the Pueblo was one of the fabled golden cities of Cibola.

hoy voy a empezar a colgar las fotos de mi viaje a Nuevo México, un hermoso estado ...
Taos Pueblo es la única comunidad de nativos americanos viviente, actualmente designada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO y un Punto Histórico Nacional. Los edificios de adobe han sido habitados continuamente por más de 1000 años. La mayor parte de los actuales edificios fueron construidos entre el 1000 y 1450 dC. El aspecto actual es muy parecido al que encontraron los primeros exploradores españoles que llegaron al norte de Nuevo México en 1540 y creeyeron que el Pueblo era una de las legendarias ciudades de oro de Cibola.

splendid image from New Mexico.
The composition is really well done, the architecture of Taos Pueblo is fantastic, and I like a lot the fantastic contrasts of colours.

Hi Sergio

Great shot this adobe. I saw a few in Utah in March, but none as good as this one. The snow adds an extra element to show that even this hot state can be cool in winter. Good POV and warm tones, and teh whites are correctly exposed too.

Hola Sergio,
Al ver la imagen pensé que sería un pueblo del norte de Africa.
El contraste de las casas de adobe con la nieve es magnífico, pues uno imagina que es un lugar donde hace calor, al menos esa es mi impresión.
Muy bonita perspectiva y excelentes detalles.

Wow! Amazing scenery- it reminds me of shots from Poland, where I grew up. Great picture, partially covering with snow helps to make it so colorful. I'm very impressed with the interesting architecture in the background. Well done!

a nice snowy area from Mexico! very appropriated in these Summer hot days with the temperature to climb,near 40o C.Great presentation of this village that is have two international competitions.Well done.

Preciosa captura amigo. Tipicas construcciones mexicanas sin duda , lastima que no te acompañara ninguna nubecita para pintar el cielo .Aun asi magnifica composicion horizontal .Veo que has visitado muchos paises , que suerte macho.

Hi Sergio,

A superb shot. I love the snow. It looks like it is an impossible combination. I get a feeling of snow in a desert. I must be very dry and hot there in the summer as far as I could see. I really enjoy it. TFS it my friend and have a nice day!

C'est avec respect qu'il faut contempler ces vestiges qui nous font remonter tant de siècles. La neige semble insolite devant ce type d'habitation.

Hola Sergio.
Mucho tiempo sin comunicarme, primero estube unos dias de vacaciones como ya conoces, despues unos problemas con mi conexion Internet me han tenido fuera de TE hasta hoy.
Una gran fotografia esta que nos muestras y muy interesante por el desconocimiento de esta cultura, un buen manejo de la luz y bellos colores conforman un gran resultado.
