Old Town, Albuquerque Photo

Photographer’s Note

San Felipe de Neri Church, built in 1793 is hidden behind the Autumn / Fall foliage at left.

Albuquerque is over a mile high (5,280 feet above sea level) hence the intense blue sky, albeit aided by a polarizing filter. This is 'Old Town' & the peaceful park beside the church.

Hello Chris!
In this one I really like the yellow and bright trees in this park with superb contrast with the bluest sky high up above! The "coreto" (that's how we call this thing right in the middle of the picture, in portuguese) is very attractive too and is perfectly placed in the frame!

Hi Chris,

The prsence of the people has an effect of scale. The trees with the fall colors are framing well the church and the park. The point of view is allowing us to see the details and colors of the park. The luminosity is enhancing the colors of the scenery.
