Photographer’s Note

I was at last year's Albuquerque Balloon Festival in New Mexico and took this photo of a ballooner inside of the hot air ballon as it was being filled. It's a very big process...the gas burners are set sideways and roar to life like a jet engine, filling the empty nylon shell with hot air. It is huge inside, like a building. This particular day was gloomy outside...no bright blue skies. So this shot ended up being one of my better ones I think

A beautiful shot. U have chosen the ballon to spead over the frame and thats a nice idea. The inclusion of the person gives nice dynamism and the gives the essence of the big baloon.

Love this colourful picture! The composition is very good. The man in the left hand sides fits well with the circular shape on the right.

Excellent composition Ted, with the circular opening balanced by the man walking into the frame.
No-one would know that the day was dull with these vibrant colours,they are really eye catching.
