Photographer’s Note
San Francisco de Asis Church
Rancho de Taos, New Mexico
This is the front of the church I posted yesterday.
This beautiful little church is just south of the town of Taos, New Mexico. It is one of the most photographed and painted churches in the US, including renderings by artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe and Ansel Adams.
From the Historical Marker at the Site...
"This mission church is one of the oldest churches in America dedicated to San Francisco de Asis. It was constructed between 1813 and 1815 under the direction of Franciscan Fray Jose Benito Pereyro. It is an outstanding example of adobe mission architecture. This church continues to this day to be a place of worship and an integral part of the community."

Hi Amber,
it´s traditional architecture but it doesn´t look traditional at all for me, more than out of the 70ies. Very interesting ! Together with your other pic I can get a really good impression of that place. Nice colours, the light is a bit hard due to daytime, I think.
Have a nice time, best regards Chris
