Continuation of my series of hot air ballooning in Taos, New Mexico. This shot was taken just after we hopped in the basket and were ready to set sail. I was happy to get the flames captured; wasn't quite sure how they'd come out.

This is a bad ass picture!! The colors are so bright and vibrant and the fire is really cool. Your pov is awesome!! This must have been one great ride.

Hello Amber,

Impecably composed shot with brilliant colors and textures. You've captured that fleeting instant when there is a burst of flames and hot air. This is a wonderful series; did you get to fly in ths balloon?

Great composition and nice bold colors. I especially like the contrast between the reds on the right and blues on the left.

Hi Amber,

Nice colourful photo, strong but appropriate saturation. Good angle of view and composition with the cables etc on the left. Good that you've included most of the interior of the balloon on the right. Very good sharpness and detail. Well done.

Hi Amber. Definitely my favourite of the series. The colours are dazzling but the elemental burst of flame reminds the viewer that this is a serious passtime. Great shot and TFS. Paul.

Amber, that is a very good decisive moment that you captured of hopping into the basket. Instead of capturing people getting in you got the flame(!) hopping into the ballon setting the sign that you're ready to go. Excellent capture!
