The Railrunner is a commuter train serving central New Mexico created in 2006. I am familiar with passenger trains having worked as a California transportation agent/analyst. We had a major goal of stimulating public interest in utilizing 'public transit' in lieu of total dependence on automobiles. It is a difficult challenge due to the propaganda against it by commercial interests that benefit with the auto's dominance.
The Railrunner equipment and operations are very similar to the successful SoCal 'Metrolink' commuter trains which I had the honor to work with.

Very nice capture of this modern train with an interesting name !
Big competition to "roadrunner", most probably the most comic member of our winged friends !
TFS and have a nice weekend

I guess New Mexico has really progressed since I lived there but then Albuquerque was a sleepy town of around 250,000 people. Nice capture of this sleek train with good details and wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

This is a fabulous commuter train - so colourful & inviting - only two carriages - maybe there are more?
I always find the designs so fascinating & as the years progree they just keep coming bigger & better - some great brains out there!!!

This is a very handsome train. I like the decoration on it.
I sympathize with you on public transport. Around where we live, I see lots of freight trains, but not a single commuter train!

Hi, Ray, my neighbor of the day,
I saw your latest post, but this loco-motion is more interesting for me. Simple but very attractive photo, good presentation of the design. This idea reminds me the agressive colors and pictures on the air fighters.
Good perspective, marvelous colors, fine details!
Greetings from Russia!
