Stalagmite limestone cavern forms are created from dripping water from a cavern's ceiling. This stalagmite is named "Rock of Ages", and is located within Carlsbad Caverns National Park's 'Big Room'. This is my favorite tour and is self-guided. The Big Room is a wonderland of stalagmites, stalactites, columns, shields, and other unusual formations. It is over 357,000 square feet in size. And on my last visit I stayed here for four hours, enjoying Nature's marvelous 'temples'.
This is the largest tour section and is reached by an elevator descending 750 under ground. Visitors may also choose to tour via the natural entrance a steep hike downwards.

These are really amazing structures, especially when we think how long these take to form, from the ever dripping water. Judging by the size of this, a lot of history has passed since this was born! I love your description as Natures Temples.
All the best

Hmm, amazing case. There is a booklet from "Rock of Ages" musical on my table. (And I saw this show on Broadway). I have some experience of visit the caverns in Russia and Turkey. Impressive forms and shapes indeed.
Good presentation, Ray,
