Albuquerque, New Mexico's "Indian Pueblo Cultural Center" is dedicated to the preservation and perpetuation of Pueblo Indian Culture, History and Art. The Center is operated by the 19 Indian Pueblos of New Mexico, showcasing Pueblo people from Pre-Columbian to current time.
The center includes a 1,000 square meter museum of Pueblo cultures and contemporary art. And as seen in this photo, traditional dances are performed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Hello Ray, Like many people of my age, as a child I read books about Indians (Winnetou! who reads it now?) and saw Western movies, so I would be delighted to see such show. Excellent dynamic shot of this Pueblo dancer.
Have a nice day

From childhood, as with many people, Indians always had a strong fascination for me. It is pleasing to see that their traditions are still being practised. I do hope that they are still richly meaningful and not just tourist entertainment.
You have got this just right with the close crop so that the details of decoration and sense of movement are integral.
Have a great w/e,

Hello Ray, a wonderful place to visit in the American Southwest. Nice capture of his dancing. Excellent color and perfect exposure. So much work goes into the making of these dance costumes, all by hand. They keep their culture alive.
Good to see you posting again,

Ciao e buon fine settimana

This is an excellent portrait shot, full of life and color, and the backdrop to the mans performance is perfect. By the expression on his face, he certainly seems to be caught in the moment, and that makes the scene so much more real. The shadow he is throwing underneath himself is excellent too, looks really cool. You filled the frame perfectly with your subject.
All the best

A very dramatic capture of the traditional dance. I imagine Trekearth members would be especially interested in such cultural depictions.
Have a good weekend,

the dancing man got captured in very nice way when one can see all the dynamism of his moves. I like his facial expression showing concentration on his dance and colorful outfit which makes the picture bright and cheerful. The architecture in the background gives us good sense of the settings.
Nicely framed and with good sharpness.
Thanks for sharing

Ooh ah what a great shot. So full of dynamism, colour and character. The swinging tassles on his costume have been frozen so perfectly in time, and I like the tight framing. He looks great against the earthy coloured backdrop, particularly the bright colours in his outfit. Excellent job, enjoy your Sunday.

You're capturing well this traditional dance by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the dance performance of Pueblo Indian. He wears the traditional/showy clothes and dances dynamically. And, the shadow projected to the ground draws out a good impact. Anyway, it's good and important to preserve and perpetuate the culture of U.S. ancestor's native, I think.

Wow! Great timing shot, Ray!
Excellent presentation of this attractive ceremony, this photo reminds me my trip to Niagara, if you remember I've got some photos of the Indian dancer too.
All the best wishes,

I am not sure I'd like to meet this fellow in a dark alley. For that matter, I would not want to meet him in a well-lit alley, either! Good colors and sharpness, must have been difficult to shoot a moving target.
