Like Route 66 (previous post), Harley-Davidson is an icon of the USA pop culture, both related to the motorized freedom to roam. Here you see a Harley-Davidson Cafe, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Las Vegas itself has became another symbol of the American Dream. I didn't like it; but it does exist, therefore I post some shots of this artificial city of light, gambling, booze, sex, and fake monuments.
This "moto-façade-sculpture" is about two or three storeys high.

Hi francisco, thanks to show us this great and perfect postcard from Las Vegas, excellent time of exposure and perfect colours,my best compliments,Luciano

Nobody likes Las Vegas, that's why there is like... What... Fifty million visitors per year...??
(or something like that )
And EVERONE of them is claiming:
I hate Las Vegas...
It's normal... It's common...

For the same reason: NOBODY plays LOTTO, and NOBODY watches porno movies on Internet, and NOBODY masturbates, and EVERYBODY hates America...

Since my last visit in there (2002) - that Harley - Davidson grew up quite high !!!
Possibly due to the wide spread of hate towards H-D.
(:-))))

Stay cool, brother Francisco

Bravo!
Um abraço, José.

Merhaba Francisco, I also do not like this kind of "dream" cities, which are artificial, materialistic and emotionless.
But I think US has a vast geography, which is full of beautiful surprises. The only thing is that, the people should look around their environment and discover the beauties of the nature, instead of focusing everyday on "making more and more money" and ignoring human relations and natural beauties around. Best regards, Tolga

Oi amigo ,

Hi Francisco,
City of saturation overload. Even the sky has dim neon hue. I guess it's difficult to choose which details to pick to shoot, all places trying to grab maximum attention. HD is certainly not a bad choice. Well framed too.

You are so right; it is fake; it is artificial; it is plastic; it's also immoral and lots of other things we don't like, but I spent 3 days there 8 years ago and it's also fantastic! 3 days was enough but I was definitely taken in by the glitz and the unashamed luxury and the glorious over-the-top atmosphere. I have no desire to go back but I can't say I hate it.
This is definitely a man's shot with the Harley. Now I would have taken Bellagio with the fountains dancing ;D Shots of LV are probably some of the few that are better with a black sky instead of the fashionable blue hour. Well done
Kath

Can't beat Las Vegas for tacky and fake!!!!! My parents loved it. I hate it. People who ride harleys usually do eat at good restuarants!

Francisco,
LV, Harley Davidson and Route 66 are all part of one single American pop culture. I share with you the feelings regarding LV. Nothing real about it. The perfect place to turn money into garbage. Why not making this shot vertical to include some people in the foreground to let people have the real impression of dimension of this bike.
All the times that I went to LV (strictly business, never pleasure!) I didn't do a single shot of the place. It doesn't deserve to be propagated. OK, I might be a little bit to harsh here, but don't forget that I'm primarily a landscape and nature person and LV, the city, doesn't have anything in that respect. However, quite well the surroundings!

hi francisco,
this one is quite intriguing..i've been around for the last two days and it keeps surprising me how "powerful" the place looks...
the two bikes sticking out from the darkness of the night look monstrous (but in a positive sens, powerful, strong, reliable)...
interesting work,
j.

Hello FRANCISCO,
we ve been lost for a while but here we are.
The colours are so vivid that create a
pleasant atmosphere,different for the
people who dream Las vegas.
Thnaks for your [photo.
