The Nanchang CJ-6 is an aircraft designed and built in China for use by the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) as a basic trainer. The CJ-6 (translation 初教 or CJ = 初级教练机 or Chuji Jiaolianji = Primary Trainer in English) is an all-original Chinese design that is commonly mistaken for a Yak 18A. Its predecessor, the Nanchang CJ-5, was a licence-built version of the Yak-18.
Taken from the ground during an air show at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.

Perfect pass for these two planes. I like the almost stopped propellers. Good light and nice datails.

Hello, excellent action photography here in this image so that I am able to see the pilots face in the cockpit easily. That takes skill and the right chose of exposure with your 1/1600 of a second shutter speed. Whowee. Well done...

a much different design than that of the P-51 Mustang.
You'd think the elongated cockpit in these designs made for easier targets.
cool and interesting as always, love seeing these.
excellent sharpness, you're getting good at these shots.

It's amazing to see those old planes still fly, and superbly collected the manuever in tandem.
Fine taken shot in good timing.
