Photographer's Note

I’ve been trying for months to photograph an airplane with contrail crossing across the face of the moon, I finally succeeded last Friday. I guess I’m lucky I live in Las Vegas which is on the path of a lot of airplanes flying to and from other destinations.

fascinationg the view of the passing by airplane as outlined against teh full moon with its contrail to completes perfect the image.An excellent snapshot that everyone could take a similar photo.

una foto originalissima che nasce dal fortuito incontro di due soggetti che sei stata pronta nel riprendere nel momento giusto e soprattutto avendo l'accortezza di evitare movimenti accidentali che avrebbero vanificato la nitidezza della luna.
Oltretutto hai preso la foto anche con la giusta esposizione.

I can only say I´m really glad you did not give up trying to capture this scene.The outcome we can admire here is amazing.I like it!I´m just trying to figure out what kind of plane and airline it coulb be?Looks like one of MD80 or CRJ.

An amazing sight. The details you've captured are amazing - I had no idea the moon is beautiful and works a treat. Composition, colour, idea, angle direction of the aircrat and its contrail, every element works. The work you have done on this has certainly paid of, it has a feeling of solitude and power. What look so stunnung is the position of the jet aircratf in front of the moon in the rarified atmosphere at probably thirty nine thousand feet or may be more, I enjoy a feeling of solitude and power here. Photography thats out of this world, litterally. Congrats

This exquisite shot belongs in the group theme, The Moon.... The timing was superb, as is all other elements of the photo. The small aperture has allowed you to achieve excellent depth-of-field, and the fast shutter speed has frozen the plane in space.
