A dragonfly is a double-winged insect belonging to the order Odonata, the suborder Epiprocta or, in the strict sense, the infraorder Anisoptera (from Greek ανισος anisos, "uneven" + πτερος pteros, "wings", due the hindwings being broader than the forewing). It is characterized by large multifaceted eyes, two pairs of strong transparent wings, and an elongated body. Dragonflies can sometimes be mistaken for damselflies, which are morphologically similar, however adults can be differentiated by the fact that the wings of most dragonflies are held away from, and perpendicular to, the body when at rest. Dragonflies possess six legs (like any other insect), but most of them cannot walk well. Dragonflies are some of the fastest insects in the world. (From Wikipedia)

Very close except for the size. It's livery would stand well on a real one. Good shot with clarity of details.

a lovely picture, with excellent sharpness, delightful colours and elegance. I love the way the dragonfly is hovering against this superb, mysterious, blurry backdrop. You 've made great use of space within the frame. Congratulations and thank you!

Great capture of this very handsome dragonfly! I love his blue color. The sharpness and position of his wings are great, and so is the uniform background.

Not a plane ... but a lovely dragonfly perfectly presented, excellent sharpness on your subject to see very all the detail, good contrast of tones with this unifirm and blurry bg.

The outlines resemble a mini chopper from this pov with its rotor blades in motion. Its efficiently executed shot well timely triggered with 1/640sec is good enough to
show the actual speed and crispy sharp. The color scheme is so well set off to the background. Another of your speciality nicely done. Congrats.
