Its been about 1 year since i've traveled to Las Vegas, thats a record for me! :)
Traveling from Vancouver to Las Vegas is very inexpensive, as we can drive 10 min to the US border and catch an American flight to Vegas for only $29 each way. Thats a great deal, better than usual, but even the usual fee of about $99 each way is still cheap.
I can completely understand the Love-Hate relationship people have with Las Vegas. Some people find the Las Vegas Strip to be fake, or unnatural...a copy cat of architecture and ugly HUGE Hotels made solely to bring in Billions of Dollars. Honestly...i don't care :)
Everyone has the right to earn a living, and the only thing i care about is the photography that Las Vegas has to offer.
I could literally spend all day outside just photographing the numerous Glass Structures that surround you like a Giant standing above a small child.
Can't remember exactly what building is reflected here, as this was taken 2 years ago, i just know that i like the look, and i like Vegas!
Thanks for looking.

Comme tu le dis, une ville contestable....mais un paradis pour le photographe qui aime jouer avec les reflets. Cette belle réalisation en est une preuve éclatante.

Wow! What a shot my friend! The red beam in the middle of this blue universe is fascinating. Lots of bright reflections, a good work, I love it!

the only thing I don't like in Las Vegas, is the use of the water, don't forget that it's a desertic place, and the ecologic disaster that it has created hundreds kilometers around. But it's sure that it's a paradise for photographers, and you show us a good example. I like these blue reflections, with the decentered large red line.Excellent!

I've never been to Las Vegas and imagine that I would hate it. Maybe I'm wrong...
This is anyway a fine picture and I can understand your fondness of looking for views like this. The structure of the reflections, especially the well placed red part, make this look like something that could be framed and hung on a wall.

j'aime beaucoup le jeu des couleurs et de la lumière de ces fenêtres bien vu, bravo.

grande grafismo qui e bellissima resa cromatica.
Il risultato è un bellissimo astrattismo.

An interesting note - and what a photograph!
Fabulous reflections here from that enormous wall of glass - I find myself peering into it to try to make out all the details there. And that great huge splash of red running up the right side of the picture - that, together with all the multiple window panes, makes for a very graphic image.

another interesting abstract. the blue tones are like the colours of fish scales whenever the light hits them at just the right place. the bold, copper coloured, line is very well positioned in the picture and lifts it to another level. provides a great focal point and contrast.

Artistic inspiration and your skill realization, Craig. This kind of subject could be vry useful for artists which doesn't have own imagination. Like me. Warm regards,

Nice to hear from you. I need the occasional breather so that I can look at things in a better perspective.
I find this shot closer to an abstract painting with all the varied textures and carefully composed with the use of space and colors. The image here seems to conjure that feeling of excitement due to the vibrations it transmitted. I like the choice and placement of the red band as it provides the oomphs!!
Great selection. Regards.

I hope you're enjoying your (hopefully) mini bfreak from TE. But I've still got some of your photos to catch up with. Your Note's very interesting, you shouldn't apologise for loving a place like this. Especially when flights are so cheap and there's so much to see and experience in the city. I like this tight framing and the luminous reflections. This is a very Craig-esque shot, so it's good that you're leaving us with one of your trademarks so we can wait eagerly for the next one. Take care, see you on FB.

Hi craig, it is really chep trip to Las vegas. And you can fi nd there also cheap hotel, so you can have nice weekend. I belong to those who dislike Las Vegas and only on your shots I saw the possibilities there for a photographer. Still, I prefer to see real Mandalay or Bellaggio. nice reflections, well observed. The red stripe is very impressive. Excellent view.

I think I recognize the building that appears as a red line here. You have created an abstract image, and it`s hard to tell which building is reflected and which is not, it all melts together in this abstract composition. Great work:) Have a nice WE.
Best regards, Erling

Superb reflexes that allow us to be seen, an abstract composition of great beauty, with nuances of color with these dominant blue-green that are very beautiful, ideal-toned tile this age, which adds an authentic touch of contrast and color . Wonderful work, I like.
Most cordial greetings.

I like this minimalist composition, which it has a great graphical power, and that you have caught in a perfect close-up on this front and the amazing reflections on its glass surface.
You have done a great work, very colorful and attractive.
adores (44807) 2011-12-18 17:11
I really like this detail and the composition, not just because of the combination of colours, but also because of the reflections. Seems almost abstract! Great!
abmdsudi (52325) 2011-12-19 7:13
Caught my eye! This is pure abstract and I am sure I would never have guessed what it is, but I like abstracts. Excellent amount of distortion and really well captured as the focus must have proved tricky. This is such a powerful image, the lines are so strong and you've left just enough of the real thing in to tantalize. It's difficult to imagine what the buildings opposite actually looks like that. Very impressionistic in form and is a well seen shot and the stunning red holds the eyes in so superbly. But what really impresses me about the shot is how you spotted it in the first place, and I am puzzled why the reflection of the building shows this degree of distortion. Just blows the mind the more you look at it !! Lovely Craig.
mayjayne (5748) 2012-10-05 4:29
It feels like a Modernism piece of work here- with the mix of colours in the reflections, plus the bright red strip - great eye to spot this !!
