Day 20: Glacier National Park, MT, USA
I am back again with my Americas travelogue, sorry for the delay.
I had some minor problems after leaving Yellowstone – I hit a deer close to Sheridan, Montana. My car was quite badly damaged but nothing happened to me. Luckily I got great help from locals - Ross & Melissa, thanks again! Thanks also for Hertz in Butte being so cool and giving me new Ford Crown Victoria – loved that car :)
After that hassle I was able to work my way up to Glacier National Park through Whitefish. The park is full of lakes and mountains and absolutely amazing road goes through the park (called Going-to-the-Sun Road). I took this photo in Two Medicine Lake on eastern part of the park. Very calm morning with nice reflections.

Hey Marko. Very high quality, great games of colours between bleu/green/gray and waters. The dead tree is balancing the composition. This is just perfect! Tibo

Hello Marko,
Technically the image is superb in every way and I would be sold on that lens.....and artistically it is excellent too. I like the freshness of the view....I can almost taste the fresh, clean air.....and the clarity shown in the water with pebbles below is outstanding. Very well done.
Cheers Grant

Hello Marko! What a treasure! I find this is one of the nicest photos of the park found on TE. Early mornings are just so relaxing before the big tourist crowds arrive. I love your stone work with the dead tree in the foreground. The calm waters make your scene a peaceful sight. I did Glacier/Waterton in summer 2005 and this is actually the reason why I found TE, googling Montana :) We were there in early June and did the road too but it was already pretty busy with tourists. We were lucky enough to see two grizzlies (and many black bears above). Driving is dangerous with all the animals, at least before sunset, but also the Montana driving style was not the best. I have never seen as many signs of dead people along the road side in my whole life. Sometimes three, four at once ... just hit the tree. Bang. This is maybe the long and lonely driving. Easy to fall asleep. Oh well, just some memories of a wonderful trip. Excellent work, I love it. Barbara.

Hi Marko,
A place i am visiting this summer and seeing your crisp and bright image i am really looking forward to see this with my own eyes. The whole landscape looks awesome, not in the less by your low pov and your excellent composition lines. Seems good weather was with you and the image show fresh and bright colours.
A wonderful shot, you really make me in the right mood for showing this...thanks..!!!

Superbe composition, Marko! Une photo parfaite techniquement (quelle profondeur de champ!) avec une luminosité fantastique et des couleurs splendides. Je ne parle même pas du paysage qui est somptueux!

Hi Marko,
An image that is crystal clear and "sharp as a tack". I love the strong foreground that leads nicely to the lake and gorgeous mountains in the distance. Awesome and TFS. Gerald

Hi Marko:
I believe this is actually Swiftcurrent Lake, which looks very, very similar to Two Medicine Lake but is in the Many Glacier portion of the park--that appears to be Mt. Gould in the background. Regardless, this is a nice shot. What time of morning was this taken? I'm going there in a month, and I plan to be at this spot early in the morning, but I'm wondering what my time window is before the sun gets too high in the sky. I love the use of the wide-angle and the inclusion of the foreground rocks. Well done.
Clark
