Photographer’s Note
I had just skied down out of the clouds when I took this panorama shot. One of the most amazing things at the time was that the sky was sparkling with flakes of snow that had been blown up by the wind.
Whitefish lake, partially frozen, and the town of Whitefish itself can be seen towards the bottom right of the picture. The mist or low cloud in the distance is sitting over Flathead lake which is around 30 miles long and 15 miles wide.

Bel effort, j'aurais opter pour un peu plus de sol (neige au bas de l'image) ajouter un peu de contraste.

A great panorama, Michael. I passed through this wonderful area in the fall of 2002, and to see what it looks like in a winter costume is a special treat for me. The large version of your picture is beautiful in light and in details. Looks like you had a great time over there.
