Looking towards Whitefish Lake from the Inspiration ski trail at Big Mountain.

Skiing down the mountain in late afternoon provided some spectacular views, so much so I struggled to keep up with my skiing companions due to frequent photo stops.

I just shot using no viewfinder/lcd due to ski goggles and bright sunlight. I was quite pleased with the result, particularly as I was shooting almost directly at the sun. I used Neatimage to smooth away the noise a little.

Nice colors with the contrast of sillouetted trees in foreground. Isn't it neat to be above the clouds? Do you have any of this view that is shot just a tad lower, to include the whole tree and little less of the sun? I think that might improve the composition of this beautiful setting. -Jenn

I can't beleive you only got 8 points for a photo like this. Here's 2 more cause it's an oustanding view you've captured very well. It's just a shame you couldn't avoid those trees, but when you think about it, it's just more natural. Bravo!
