Photographer’s Note
Shoshone Falls is a waterfall on the Snake River in Twin Falls, Idaho.
It is sometimes called the "Niagara of the West," as it is in fact 36 feet higher than Niagara Falls.
Shoshone Falls has existed for 30,000 to 60,000 years and unsurprisingly it is a total barrier to the upstream movement of fish.
The electricity station on the far left of the picture gives you some idea of the size of the falls.
