Blackfoot is a very small city of about 10,400 people just 20 miles or so north of Pocatello. Blackfoot is better known as a fairly flat place great for farming potatoes and animals. (Blackfoot is home to the "World Potato Expo.")
Just 3-4 years ago it was believed that Blackfoot had no registered Democrats at all. However, thanks to President Bush's lousy policies, Democrat suddenly seemed to appear. The 2008 Democratic primary in Blackfoot was attended by well over 100 people loudly speaking for their favorite candidates. Obama won that county as well as the state of Idaho. |
