| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This pic was taken on summer vacation in '07. I, my girlfriend just stopped by on the way to Yellowstone from SF.
Shoshone falls is located in City of Twin falls, Idaho and it's 212 feet high, which is higher than Niagara Falls. I think it's a pretty nice place to visit. |

Soo Bong, welcome to TE, your name sounds Korean, is it?
Yout photo is not a bad one and I am surprise it has attracted no critiques prior to this. My critique is only my opinion based on what I have learned on TE up to this point.
The water is over exposed and it looks a lot more like a long exposure than it is because there is no detail in the falls itself.
It took me a while to learn some of the technique that makes landscapes better and I think that a polarizing filter, correctly oriented, would have added contrast to the whole shot, let the water detail come through and made the sky more vivid. I also now NEVER shoot in auto exposure and usually use spot metering to expose for the brightest part of the frame.
Keep posting so we can see what you are doing.
