| This shot shows part of the boardwalk that goes around the marina at the Coeur D' Alene Resort. According to a hospitality sign posted near the entrance to this boardwalk here are a few facts. It is 12 feet wide and over 3300 feet long. Beneath the walkway is a 10 foot curtain of wood that creates a calm inner harbor. To build the marina and boardwalk they used the following: More that 16,000 cedar logs, 28,000 lbs of spikes, 16,000 lag screws, 8,000 lbs of bolts, 500,000 board feet of lumber. The boardwalk gives a very scenic view of Lake Coeur D' Alene and is worth the visit if you find yourself in that part of Idaho. |
