The State of Idaho is a state in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States of America. The state's capital and largest city is Boise. Residents are called "Idahoans." Idaho was admitted to the Union on July 3, 1890, as the 43rd state.

According to the United States Census Bureau, in 2004, Idaho had an estimated population of 1,393,262. The state's postal abbreviation is ID. Idaho is nicknamed the Gem State because of its abundance of natural resources. The state motto is Esto Perpetua (Latin for "Let it be perpetual").

Hi Henryk
I like the "Nowhere" which seems to go well with the open space accentuated by the wide-angle. There's so much depth created by the road the blue and green signs. The cloudy sky is a dramatic inclusion.

Actually, you weren't in Idaho yet (talking about the location you took the photo from). Good color and composition though. Great sky, good framing to compliment the photo.

Well, not the first picture IN Idaho, that was still another 30 metres, passing the road sign. ;-) But a nice sky you captured there OF Idaho :-).

Sous un ciel engageant. Tu l'as bien cadrée sur la gauche et laissé une place importante à ce ciel qui gage d'une belle journée.

Greetings Henryk. I like the irony of a welcome to such a large expanse of plains and mountains. The wide angle view certainly emphasises this expansiveness and the light and shadow are very strong elements. The dramatic sky completes the picture strikingly.

I'll do the same pulling myself at the side of the road to capture such landscape! Fantastic wideness, unwelcoming skies yet looks very dramatic...the long stretch of road that leads endlessy...to Idaho!
