Photographer’s Note
Looking down a bend in the Salmon River near Riggins, Idaho on a July evening. I took this back in 2006, while clouds built in the sky against the darkening valley. Had to run back to get my camera from where we were staying nearby, and nearly missed the cloud formation (sadly, it looked even a bit nicer in the moments before).
