Photographer’s Note
Our last major stop on the way home from Utah, etc. was in southern Idaho at the Craters of the Moon National Monument. This was taken from one of the walks we went on. There are many thousands of acres in this area much of it like this. I thought the road made for an interesting composition. Of course where is the red sports car when you need one ;)

Hello Phil,
Even without a red sports car this is an attractive and interesting photo. The winding road itself, and the yellow line, are good enough as eye-catchers. The picture is very well composed with the road going from the lower left corner to the upper right. A really weird landscape with occasional traces of green life.
Regards.

Hello Phil!
Very impressive, "extraterrestial" landscape, you had a special "eye" for this one, my dear friend! Excellent tight framing, perfect composition, perfect "lead in" line! Flawless light management and colours! Congratulations!

Hi Phil,
When I first saw this picture I thought this was somewhere on Hawaii.
I like the photo with what looks to be lava on most of the photo mixed with some scarce green and the curvey road going thru. Good colors and sharpness.
Well done!

I don't think it needs a red sports car. The winding road makes a graphic statement on what appears to be volcanic land. I have walked across several volcano craters which look just like this. The high POV is perfect.

Hi Phil,
this is a truly jaw dropping view. It looks indeed like moonscape. The road shape is fantastic -I really enjoy the composition.

Hi Phil!
Another of your awesome shots! The winding road looks like a snake! The colour of the grond surrounding the road is impressive. A very strong contrast between the road and the ground. A very unusual place indeed. It would make a great race track too.
Best regards
Denis!

I like this shot Phil. Very simple yet very effective. Sharp detailand the yellow/ green stands out well in an otherwise grey lunar world. This would look REALLY cool just after sunset with an exposure shot and car driving along.
Cheers!

Hi Phil.
Looks like the road was made for sports cars too, nice curves where you would think they would make it straight. You mentioned this “Craters of the Moon” in your critique of my post but the two have few similarities, this one is so stark. Well chosen POV and well composed. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hi Phil,
Great framing with excellent detail and light management.
Just from the thumbnails, your photography progress in terms of framing is apparent when you can see the framing of a 19 year old photo and your current work.

Hello Phil,
This is a really interesting landscape, and I like the way the road snakes through it. Do they make it curvy like that for aesthetic reasons, or due to a natural path in the land?

Hello Phil!
That's a quite interesting and truly beautiful photograph!
Sharpness, exposure, dof and colors are excellent!
The pov couldn't be better and the composition is the real highlight here: simple, but effective and quite attractive!
The winding road thru that lava terrain is certainly eye-catching!
TFS - congratulations!
Best regards,
Neyvan

Hi Phil,
Wonderful winding lines created by this highway that resembles a giant serpen over this pocked mark landscape.
