Photographer’s Note
Big Springs is an attraction in Island Park, it is where a largish river just pops up out of the ground.
This river combines with others in the vicinity to feed the Snake River that eventually ends up in the Columbia River.
What isn't well seen is the huge trophy sized rainbow trout in the crystal clear water. This area is closed to fishing, and by my judge from mosquitoes the fish are well fed!
This is a full 180 degree panorama, from the bridge that crosses the river about 50 meters from the source of the water. I used 4 vertical exposures with a 10mm lens and stitched them together using Hugin to create the image.

Impressive stitch Dana, are you using a pano head on your tripod? Great detail and sharpness. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

I like it, Dana! Panos are often a challenge, especially getting consistent exposure across several shots such as this. Everything is seamless, the sky is beautiful, the shadows crisp, the depth of field long and sharp, the colors accurate, and that water clarity is amazing! Well done!
Just curiously: Did you determine your aperture and shutter upfront and then put everything on manual before beginning the sequence? If not, how did you go at it?
Regards,
Jim
