Night sky with moon, Waikiki, Oahu island, Hawaii
A catamaran returning to the shore, in the background the Diamond Head crater. The reflection on the water is from the big bright yellow lamp near the top of the building.
I would say that my shot is quite similar to David's in terms of time of the day and camera direction. The difference in hues is generally attributable to camera settings and careful bracketing. I have no filters installed on my FinePix 101 - yet.

Interesting capture of "between night and day". Good sharpness. I'm wondering if the bright light to the left is a reflection on a window of the sun going down? If yes, you have both moonlight and sunlight reflected on the water ;-)

Great purple colors make this picture really special and unforgetable. The point of view is perfect for this scene especially with the moon.

True, what is this disturbing broad reflection in water on the left ?

The colours are captivating, so is the setting and the ambiance of this picture. Something to watch-out for, it looks like the moon has moved, it is an elliptoid, not a circle, because the exposure time was too long, that is to say, if it was full moon. If it is a full moon, it sometimes happens that the sun is setting as the moon is rising, therefore it must be sun reflecting off the window. No matter, a stunning picture.
