Yellow Umbrellas at Waikiki Photo

Photographer’s Note

I liked the repetition of the yellow umbrellas & their contrast against the blue sky. The pink Spanish style hotel in the distance, behind the coconut trees, also caught my eye. Waikiki is one of the world's best known beach resorts.

A very pleasant scene where I rather would be, now when autumn darkness spreads over Sweden... I like this diagonal type of composition with the yellow umbrellas work together with the green palms. Beautiful colour of the sea too!

beach moment at winter time! its not a joke in this paradise place! i feel the breeze from thees coconut trees and feeling hot from those people on the beach. nice composition to balance the "weight" left and right. even in a bright day, good contrast control. nice job!

Hi Chris,

The presence of the people has an effect of scale. The palm trees are framing well the beach. The point of view takes my eyes toward the horizon which is giving depth to the composition. The yellow parasols are an extra to the composition. The quality of the light is enhancing the beauty of the colors. have a nice day.
