Photographer’s Note
This is the famous banyan tree in the town of Lahaina, Maui (also look at the panorama version for a better view of this huge tree). It measures about 100 metres across, I imagine, and consisits of numerous roots/trunks. It was planted in the 1870s, and is considered to be the largest banyan tree in the United States, including the mainland. It is used as a well-known meeting place for people in Lahaina.
