Photographer’s Note
As I was walking along historic Front Street in downtown Lahaina on the island of Maui on a recent vacation with my wife, I came across a father and son playing in the waves on the beach while waiting for a table at the nearby restaurant. The little boy was still a bit scared of the waves by himself, so his dad would hold his hands and playfully lift him into the water so his feet would just barely get wet before pulling him back again.
I used a pretty fast shutter speed to darken things up a little bit and help silhouette the father and son against the sunset over the Pacific Ocean.

Hi Matt, this is very nice, good choice of shutter speed to create silhouettes and a calm mood. Nice glow off the sand, too. To be picky, ideally the boy would be visually more distinguished from the father, but maybe the boy wasn't ever held out far enough to catch that. It still works very well like it is. Regards, Ken.
