Photographer’s Note

This picture was taken at Lahaina harbour. Lahaina used to be the capital of Hawaii and was a major port used for whaling. Today, ironically, Lahaina's major attractions are whale watching, sports fishing, and sunset cruises.

From Lahaina harbour you can take a ferry to Lanai or Molokai, neighbouring islands each with their own uniqueness.

There are many places for shopping and a variety of restaurants. In the center of town there is a Banyan tree that takes up nearly one square block (it is even misplacing the court house).

I will upload a picture of a Banyon tree soon.
