Photographer’s Note
A genuine ocean-soaked bottle, as it drifted ashore after many months of travel in Kahana Bay, Oahu island, Hawaii
I looked inside: there was no paper. Translation: "Help me! I am not only stranded on a desert island, I'm illiterate too!"
Tssk tssk.
(P.S. I know the horizon is not straight. I took straight shots too, but this one looks the most dynamic.)

Great picture, well accompanied with funny comments ;-) Intrigued by your affirmation that the inclined horizon added more dynamism to the composition, I tried myself to "fix" it... and I admit the result is not as interesting as the original post (hence I would not bother in post a WS version) :-) It must have something to do with the angle in which the bottle is placed on the sand... maybe you could have tried to move the bottle a little bit, so we could have had dynamism plus horizontal sky; just an idea :-)

Great shot. Well compsed and a very intersting angle, and good DOF.
The bottle is amazing and the view too.
well done.I
I agree about the horizon. It is dynamic.
Nice note.

An interesting shot, with an unusual subject photographed creatively. I also like the horizon as it is.

A great find George. I love the reflection of the blue in the water on the sand. I agree with louis that the tilted horizon gives the feeling of that the bottle is about to roll back into the waves, which makes it feel like an instant captured in time. Superb.

Great photo. You have the diagonal following the bottle and lets go to the sea. Really nice.

Fantastic point of view, great colors, great sharpness... And a right choice to the "falling" horizon.
At first I thought it should be straightened up and then reached the same conclusion as you. Only then read your note... Very nice!

Original point of view, a pleasure to look, but just a question: who drunk the rhum? :-)

Hips ! C'est mmoi qui a tttout bu le rhum....
L'horizon est correct puisque la plage est en pente, le cadrage oblique nous attire directement vers la bouteille dont le goulot est très bien positionné. La composition est parfaite.
Hips! It is mme who had drunk all the rum....
The horizon is correct since the beach is inclined, framing obliques attracts us directly towards the bottle whose neck is very well positioned. The composition is perfect.

George, this is such a good find, and I'm sure it is a wide angle shot, strong and dinamic foreground centre of interest and leading one into the pix. A strong focal point, and a happy face.

photo très originale . Les couleurs flamboyantes du ciel et de la nature font ressortir les couleurs plus éffacées qui sont au premier plan jolie prise de vue.
very original photograph. The blazing colors of the sky and nature emphasize the more unobtrusive colors which are in the foreground pretty catch of sight.

Really nice shot.
Hope the message is not that important because it seems to have been post a long time ago :)
Stop kidding...
The compo, for me, is good and the tilted horizon doesn't bother me.
Well seen.

Nice shot and perspective. The horizon and the positions of the elements in the picture seem to say that it's you who drank the bottle!

I like the fact that the bottle is genuine and not posed. Great colors.
