Photographer’s Note
Kaneohe Bay seen from Kahaluu, Oahu island. Hawaii
The variations in ocean color (from turquoise to deep blue) signals a difference in water depth. The waters of Kaneohe bay have so much variation in depth, that at low tide, many sandbars emerge out of the water. Such a sandbar is the ideal place to visit with a boat and a few friends to throw a party.
I took the picture from the top floor of a house under construction; the owner let me in. (Thanks again!). Kahaluu is a very nice place, overall. It is also the only place where I saw a tall tree with a sign "FOR RENT." (Huh?) The mountains shown on the other side of the bay are about 5 miles away.
This photo is a part of a larger pano that I am saving for the time when the 800 pixel pano limit will be alleviated.

Brings back some good memories this shot...Chinamans Hat Island in the distance...on a purely emotional level this is a great picture. Thanks and Cheers.

The colours are stunning!
The colours of the ocean are really unique and with the mountains in the background the photo is definitely upgraded.
Well done

I like the green tones of the water, but the picture is a little bit tilt, it would be better if the skyline was horizontal. I've done a workshop, hope you like it.

Beautiful photo! Nice green water, quite a large capture. Indeed you did well to ask for permission to take thei photo, you got so nice greens, and perhaps from earth level, you woudn't be able to get this wide view.
