If you read and viewed my last post, you know about the hike I did up KoKo Crater - well, you can actually see that hike in this photo.
That peak on the left side of the frame is the vertical climb up the edge of the Volcano, and if you look really close, you can actually see the path going up!
This photo here is showing the popular Hanauma Bay. Popular for tourists and locals for chilling, relaxing, and snorkeling.
And this hike was actually illegal. We were not suppose to be up here as its now private government property. It used to be a Nature Reserve Park, but for some reason its now off limits and no longer used as a public Park. I had a feeling the views would be outstanding so I took the chance and it paid off.
I'll post a couple of WS photo's taken from the same hike. And please take a look at the MAP VIEW in the satellite mode to see the actual volcano...its pretty cool!
thanks for looking

now Hawaii would be right up my street at the moment with the UK being slowly battered and sunk in a sea of rain. What an idyllic view and so unspoilt despite its popularity. The hike looks exhausting, but like you I would not be able to resist it! Beautiful image and nice thoughts - relaxing in the currant bun (sun).

Wonderful natural spot!
Very beautiful and attractive picture!
I bet you had to do some steep climbing to get there, but of course, it was totally worthwhile!
TFS - congrats,

In Belgium know we not private beaches, everything is of everyone, the government makes the beaches OK.
Your picture is nice and technical very well.
Nice perspective and depth picture.
Sharpness and clarity be superb.
Excellent composition, lovely presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Enjoy the day ahead,

On voit l'effet des volcans sur la végétation dans cette composition. Mais j'aime surtout la couleur de la mer. C'est vraiment tentant de s'y tremper le pied après un trek en nature. Un paysage de toute beauté.

*A splendid point of view on this perfect beach . The landscape is beautiful , even arid . And the colors of the sea are wonderful .

very nice the panoraic view of the charmy bay with the sandy beach to contrast perfect with the clear and turquoise waters.I like the excellent presentation with the shoreline to creates depth and perspective in the scene.

this is such a beautiful view and I appreciate the height you had to climb to to get this spectacular POV. Congratulations on trek and on very well taken photo from this spot. The bay can be seen so well from here and one can admire not only the turquoise colors of the water but also some rocks visible on the bottom.
The cove has been nicely nested in between pretty hills.
The whole composition is lovely with beautiful colors and ideal sharpness.
Well done and enjoy your day

Ciao e buona giornata

Result of hiking at a forbidden zone, gave the great opportunity to have a fascinating view over this beautiful blue bay. Stunning turquoise water and fine DOF till far as the horizon, and to the Vulcano on left.
What not obvious, until opened the map, is that just behind you there is a town - rather as first I thought it was an un-populated remote rural area.
Fine landscape, intriguing for any photographer.

A superb composition, with a view of the most splendid, beautiful bay with this beautiful golden beach, the view of the volcano to the left is breathtaking and the hike up to the summit, to be a challenge .... I love those blue sea and sky.
A high brightness and sharpness.
Perfect colorful, these vivid colors.
Well done. I love the image.
Have a good day.
All the best.

Staying down thre at the beach seems more tempting than the steep climb. On the other hand the beach probably looks a lot nicer from here. Generally the colors are great, not least the shallow turqoise water.

wonderful view of this wide bay from Hawai. I like your composition, fine colors and excellent sharpness. I would like to be there now, especially with our bad weather here in Luxembourg today ...
With regards from Luxembourg

This is a very beautiful scene. The curving sandy bay, the small village tucked away on the rocky slope and the headland overhanging the coastline, all contribute to an excellent landscape. The light is superb and has resulted in some fantastic colours. A very well composed photo.

Hi, Another nice series of this Koko Crater. yes, I can see the path leading to the top. And I would be tempted to climb it, for sure, to see the view. beautiful bay with the beach, and the water looks so inviting. Amazing colour. Is the reef there?
It looks so wild and I saw on the map it is so close to Honolulu. Strange.

Looks like your inner rebel came to life in Hawaii, eh...going places you're not supposed to?? lol
Oh man, this helps bring back some good memories. I've only been to Hawaii one time on a quick weekend trip, and this as one of the places we visited. Sadly though, we didn't have time to actually do any snorkeling...which from what I hear, this is THE spot!
What a tremendous view, you really get around...I love being able to see the trail and peak from your previous shot. Tying these two photos together creates the obvious connection, but also helps to establish the lay of the land....nice to get the opposing vantage points. The transformation of turquoise to deep blue water is gorgeous. I hope you spent some time relaxing on the beaches after these hikes, it'd be well earned!
Glad yo made the trek though so that we can all enjoy this vista. Thanks for doing all of the leg work! :)
Enjoy the rest of your evening. Take it easy.

As always it's 1 or 2 idiots that spoil it for everyone. No doubt at some point in the past someone either threw a lit cigarette and started a fire or left rubbish and excrement everywhere. Which is probably why it is now closed as they don't have the staff to police it. In Turkey a lot of the prime lookouts are also off limits to the public and are army reserves with big GIRILMEZ! (keep out) signs. A stunning view of the bay with good sharpness and nice warm cold color contrasts too. Tfs!

Beautiful bay with nice graphic rocks and the splendid turquoise colors of the water. Nice photos on the WS too. I like it!
Have a Week-end.

Gidday dearest Craig
Aw you know I'm gonna love this one. And being the lazy fat stuff I am, will never get to see it for myself, so am grateful that you shared the fruits of your hard-won labours. The word "hike" brings me out in a sweat. Love the deep colours and the pin point Rule of Thirds framing. The details are wonderful and sharp, I can see every bit of seaweed in that Acqua coloured water. Man I bet you wanted a swim after that hike! As to your WS I love them and reckon that he one of the red trail is worthy of a posting all on its own. Top shot, bet Tosca was in 7th heaven with this landscape. Great work and thanks for sharing.
Ps: if you critiqued my Valentines Day photo, thanks! The mods took it down. I have asked for a review, stating it wasn't posed - although I forgot to say that I didn't know the married couple. But won't lose sleep if they tell me to stick it :)

I've been busy. Almost missed this beautiful picture. Yes, I have a picture at exact the same POV. This wonder picture definitely brings back the memories of my trip to Hawaii.

I like the way you have divided the composition, the sky, the ocean and the mountain. The pint of view is showing the details and the colours of a tropical scenery. The good luminosity is enhancing the beauty of the colours. Have a nice day.
