| Some of the observatories at the top of Mauna Kea, the highest vulcano in Hawaii, located on Big Island. 4.100 meters above sea level, with snow here and there. Sometimes Mauna Kea is considered to be the highest volcano in the world, if the part under the sea level is counted, which means it is 10.000 meters high. From Mauna Kea you can see Mauna Loa in the distance. Both of them are very flat, even though they are high. |
