[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The view near the rim of the Halema'uma'u Crater in Volcanoes National Park. This crater was formed in 1974, though surrounding lava flows have also happened before 1940, in 1971 and 1982 (the 1982 flow partially destroyed the road leading to the crater, very near where this photo was taken.)

Very nice photo of this volcanic landscape. Great colour and detail. A very interesting scene.

Beautiful image. Well composed and exposed. Did you use a filter to get the star effect on the sun?
