Photographer’s Note

Current lava flow. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
This is a remote area of the park. Takes several hours of hiking through the lava fields to get there.
The hike to the lava delta is over a rough, uneven, fractured lava landscape and it considered to be difficult.

Very nice capture of this natural fact. I like the shape of the smoke columns making an apocalyptic atmosphere. Very nice capture.

Hi Inna. An impressive showing of the rough powers of nature, with this photo of the lava flows and the clouds of steam emerging from them. There is also a low light in this one that brings a delightfully eerie quality to the scene. I think it would also be a good candidate to go black & white with. Nice shot.

Well Inna I love the feel of this wild setting. Its how the island was created in the first place and yet this is always amazing to see. It looks like you took this from an aerial position from this viewpoint. Very nice shot Inna and thanks for stopping by today!

Another nice shot of the Big Island of Hawaii. One can imagine the lava tubes forming as the lava hits the ocean, forming the steam.

This POV shows about where the road was before the Kileaua volcanic activity started up again.
Great documentary photograph.

Hello Inna,
Hawaii land of dream beaches,waterfalls in the middle of spectacular greenery scenarios but also this wild and unstoppable Hawaii with the activity of the volcanoes.
Love the atmosphere of this photo with the smoke coming out, the shore break and it's menacing look and the burned ground.
Excellent photo that would fit perfectly on a National Geograpich documentary.
