[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Nearly a year ago I drove the Hana Highway with my wife, and along the way we watched kids and adults jump from the rocks into the streams below. This one was with his dad who was just out of the several months lay up resulting from a bad jump. The drive is unforgettable with or with out the jumpers.

The Road to Hana (or Hana Highway) on Maui's northeast shore is perhaps the closest thing to a highway to Heaven as you'll ever find. The Road to Hana is 52 miles of undeveloped road that passes by some of the most breath-taking scenery on the face of the earth. It was literally a million years in the making. It's not a journey for those in a rush. With beautiful stops and sights, 56 one-lane bridges, and 617 curves & turns along this scenic route, it’s the journey getting there, not the destination, that is the main attraction.

This was shot jpg and was the 4th day I had the camera, it does take good pictures.

Hi Greg,
This is a very effective and spectacular shot. Very good POV and expressive composition. Superb timing...stunning spectacle. Thank you, nice days
George

Hello Greg,
I was browsing at your new post and while zoomed out I thought "that looks pretty". When I zoomed in and I saw
the boy leaping into the water, I thought "Wow!". This is a fascinating but scarry photo. It reminds me of my earlier post of the kid jumping around some rocks in a waterfall above a 200 foot drop-off. Reminds me of the crazy things I did as a kid. Great shot!

hi greg ,, wow this shot earns top marks as a picturesque shot by its self,,, then you see the boy jumping in to it brilliant timing how high is it to the water?

adrian

bonjour
a bientôt

Hi Greg,
excellent timing, very nice exposure. It is a very dangerous sport, isn't it? I suppose that there is a narrow place to do something like that. Thank you for sharing with all of us.
Best wishes,
Athanasios.

Hi Greg,
It's an impressive action photo on a scenic environment, with a nice compo also. The instant of shooting was perfectly chosen. Those guys are a bit crazy, aren't they?
Regards, José.

Proof to me that some people truly are 'crazy'! :) But wonderful for those who CAN swim I suppose. A really good angle on this, beautiful scenery!!! TFS

Hi Greg,
Wonderful action shot of this brave young lad making the dizzing leap down this narrow canyon that is beautifully linned with all the lush green ferns and trees.
I hope the landing is deep and free of rocks.
Regards, Tom
