The coastline of East Maui on the way to Hana is very rugged and whole, complete beaches have been known to wash away by the powerful sea. For this reason, our tour quide informed us never to keep our back to the sea.
The drive to Hana is not for the impatient. There are 642 curves, sacred tide pools, waterfalls, and jaw-dropping vistas.
If you want to stay in Hana, you need to book early as many of the locals prefer to stay here, as opposed to other parts of Maui. |
