| From my recent vacation in Hawaii. Watching the sun rise over the Hawai'i Islands is a spectacular event doesn't matter where you do it from. But, doing so from the top of the Haleakala is something special. Perched on top of this volcano at some 10,000 ft., the colors are just fantastic. In order to capture the sunrise, I left the comforts of my hotel at 2:45am and took a tour bus that took us all the way to the top. It was extremely windy that morning that I had difficulty keeping my tripod standing. To add to that, the temperature was way below zero. |
