Walking on Clouds – Haleakala Sunrise

This image of Haleakala, on the island of Maui, was taken from the summit of the 12,000 foot (3,600 meter) volcano. In this image, the clouds are actually in the bowl of the volcano, with the sun rising over it.
This is one of the more favorite attractions on the island of Maui. In order to get here though, it is necessary to leave town around 3am - these days, it is so popular that there is quite a bit of traffic going up in the morning.
This is one of my older images, I hope everyone likes it. |
