Hello Robin
This is a very unusual and at the same time very interesting view.
I'm used to seing the moon out in the nighttime, but the simple inversion of the entire scene is something that is worth the study.
Was this some sort of a heavy thunderstorm?
Another thing that really appeals to me is the framing.
The standing frame work great, but having it this narrow puts extra attention to the sheer height of the storm and the quiet area on top of it all.
Thank you for sharing.

Hi there,
This is a very innovative composition and worked well.
Good composition :)

I'm amazed by the digital quality of this scanned picture. How did you get it? Did you scan it yourself? I let a photography shop do the scanning of all my Nepal and Tibet slides from 1998 and the result is a catastrophy.
Anyway, this post is remarkable for several reasons. The tight framing really allows to keep the focus on the moon and the dark thunderstorm clouds in the bottom part of your picture. I wonder about your POV. Where you on the top of a volcano or in an airplane?

Hi Robin,
It's rather an original composition. I love dreaming at complicated skies. :)

Nice grey scale ;). The combination of stormy clouds and clean sky is very impressive, and the moon, what can I say... wonderful framing, wel done! Regards.
