The Dillon Reservoir has a group of famous Colorado Rocky Mountain ski towns surrounding it. From Breckenridge to Keystone, Silverthorne to Frisco, this body of water just a few miles west of the Continental Divide is a center point for a large majority of Colorado Mountain life, in any season.
As I came back from a day of exploration and was headed into Breckenridge to stay for the night, this sunset blew me away. I pulled off at a scenic overlook on Interstate 70, just near Frisco. This picture highlights Fall in the Rocky Mountains, the Dillon Reservoir, and the 13,370 ft (4,075 meter) Mt. Guyot, and natural Colorado serenity and bliss at it's finest. A truly great moment that I was so fortunate to be able to capture. The small file limits of TE do not let this photo live up to it's potential!
