Remembering John Denver, a photo from Colorado, West

Photographer's Note

I was going through my old photo catalogue and discovered this photo of the late John Denver. The gentleman with the denim jacket(second from right) is him. My sister and I took the children to see the 4th of July parade in Aspen and Mr. Denver was there with his daughter Jesse. We were standing next to them on the sidewalk as the parade went by. Then it began to hail and everyone dispersed. We went to a cafe to wait out the storm and standing at the table next to us was Dustin Hoffman and his family. I did not take a photo of Mr. Hoffman though, out of respect for his family and children. I had forgotton all about this photo until today. Taken with my Nikon F3 and scanned to a disc.

We celebrate his passing in Pacific Grove, California, where his plane went down. Great capture Karen; you have captured John in a setting where it's not your everyday normal photo of him. Excellent clarity and light control, with fantastic color saturation. Great Job Karen!!
