Photographer's Note

The Mike O’Callaghan – Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge (Colorado River Bridge) is the central portion of the Hoover Dam Bypass Project. The key component to the Hoover Dam Bypass project, was the first concrete-steel composite arch bridge built in the United States.
Construction on the nearly 2,000 foot long bridge (with a 1,060 foot twin-rib concrete arch) began in late January 2005 and traffic began using the Hoover Dam Bypass on October 19, 2010.
This signature bridge spans the Black Canyon (about 1,500 feet south of the Hoover Dam), connecting the Arizona and Nevada Approach highways nearly 900-feet above the Colorado River.
For those who never fully appreciated the Hoover Dam, engineering masterpiece it's hard not to become a fan after this.
Visitors have access to drive to this bridge and see the dam from a high vantage point. Located about 1,500 feet south of the Hoover Dam (where I took this shot), the walkway on the bridge is approximately 900 feet above the Colorado River.

hi rui,
what an amazing viewpoint you have found to capture this amazing canyon from. the detail in the rocks are fantastic. the blue sky really compliments the rock colours superbly well. the light illuminating parts of the rocks are wonderful and really show off the texture in the mountains very well.

Belo ponto de visão com a ponte de fundo , é um belo trabalho de engenharia esta ponte em arco , já vi um programa de TV onde mostrava a construção da mesma , muito bonito este vale , bons detalhes e cores, parabéns!!

A magnificent view over the river and bridge, with depth towards mountains on far, and onto deep canyon and water's.
Backlight effect handled well, and could not avoid the slight mist.
