Photographer’s Note
This shot was taken on the first day of the year in downtown Vail. I saw this skier sculpture at one of the plazas and was tempted to compose something. Despite the sky overexposure I liked the final result. I hope you like too and all critics are welcome.

A pretty snow scene, Ricardo, and nicely composed with a pleasing pov. I like the variety of textures and the rich color sprays of red branches around the bottom. The design and warm colors of the building make a good background. The sky actually just looks like an overcast winter sky...only the few branches in the upper left getting swallowed by it give it away as overexposed.

Hi Ricardo, A fun shot with a perfect environment to show the skiing statue. I am jealous of you having a good time in the ski paradise. An impressive shot to show the heavy fresh snow on the tree, on the deck and on the ground.

Hello Ricardo,
This is a great scene. The snow over roof in layers is looking like bread. It seems that snowman is helping this sculpture while skiing. Very good presentation. I donot see any overexporure in the scene.
Thanks for sharing.

I don't think the sky is over-exposed as just white anyway because of the weather conditions. The snow on the back of the statue looks quite funny as if it is doing a tandem ski like a tandem parachute jumper.
Nicely composed with the inclusion of the tree on the right for balance.

Josep

Hi Ricardo,
A clear crisp shot, with the sculpture nicely complemented by the pleasing lines and graphics of the building. The POV is just right, and one gains a good idea of the size of the statue. High impact despite the bleary sky. Well captured, Ricardo.

That is a very funny statue, quite realistic. Overexosition is not realy a problem as the subject need to be detailed from its environment and you have done well in having a POV that extracts it from the wooden chalet.
Good one and interesting american place

Hi Ricardo, nice catch, the ski resort atmosphere is well caught with the sculpture, snow and wooden chalet.
