When we were in the southwest in fall 2004, we took a trip up into the mountains above Silverton, Colorado. Besides being drop-dead gorgeous, there are a couple of old mining ghost towns. And this view.

A superb picture.I like the way the mountains slope into the centre and the contrasting yellow of the trees in the f/ground.

Hi Roger, very good view of this interesting and beautiful scenery, charming contrast with the blue of the sky, well captured with great pov in this great and beautiful photography. Hi Roger,
This is a really superb view out of the mountains, full of life, and almost bursting from the screen thanks to the foreground of brilliant yellow. The sky looks cool too, they could almost be little space ship floating across the sky.
Great depth to the whole image too.

Hello Roger - The aspens make a wonderful FG for this majestic landscape; the yellows really pop against the greens and add lovely texture to the shot. The wider view fascinates me, the scree slopes are particularly well captured and the valley leads nicely to the distant mountains. Warm regards Rosemary

Hi Roger,

I have the pleasure of being in Colorado, and especially in the fall season. The drive was breath taking through out the trip, I made so many stops along the way, I thought we'll never get to our destination. This is a great example of the view along the way. Good shot.
