Photographer's Note

Hello all,
This scene reminds me of John Denver's song, "Country Roads", although this road is in rural southwestern Colorado. This road is called 'The Last Dollar' road and is an unpaved road off the Hwy 62 that connects Ridgeway to Telluride and is a back way to Telluride through ranch country. It is about 18 miles long through the San Juan mountains which can be seen in the background.
We had so much fun stopping for photo opportunities whenever something called to us, a stand of aspen trees, a mountain ridge, a creek or waterfall, or the old cabin when it started to rain and then snow
(a previous post).
Please enjoy my photo...
p.s. Just to the very lower right of this scene stood a tall grove of aspen trees that I took many photos of but what didn't look right from the extreme right view, is this little dirt road, so I moved up and over to the left to capture this scene and had to sacrifice the bold splash of autumn color for a more balanced scene.
