"The Animas River is a river in the western United States, a tributary of the San Juan River, part of the Colorado River System. The Spanish named the river "Rio de las Animas Perdidas", "River of the Lost Souls". It is also the last free-flowing river (un-diverted) in Colorado. The river's free-flowing status will soon end if water is permitted to be diverted from it for the so-called Animas-LaPlata Project. However, although taxpayers have spent $1 billion to dig a hole in the ground for this "project," no use for the water has ever been identified. The free-flowing river will be sacrificed even though there is no use for the water, therefore.
The Animas River rises high in San Juan Mountains of Colorado at the confluence of the West and North forks at the ghost town of Animas Forks and flows south past the ghost towns of Eureka and Howardsville. At Silverton, the river flows into the Animas Canyon. The Durango and Silverton Narrow gauge railroad follows the river through the canyon to Durango. From Durango the river flows south into New Mexico through the town of Aztec to its confluence with the San Juan River at Farmington.
The only major tributary of the Animas River is the Florida River which confluences just north of the Colorado - New Mexico border."

un altro bell'angolo di Colorado quello che ci mostri.
La natura selvaggia e i colori rendono unici questi scatti.

I like the mild colours, soft and nice for eyes.
A good composition with the rocka, and mountains in the background.

Une très belle image de ces paysages colorés avec le regard qui suit bien le cours d'eau.
Merci pour le partage et bonne journée.

Interesting landscape surrounding the river. The rear hills appear scoured, I imagine they are made up of Sandstone. Very clear image and for what lighting you were offered, a colorful image in the fall...

A good perspective along the river along which the eyes are drawn towards the distant mountains. I like the muted natural colours. Clarity is very good.

A photo composed wonderfully. The perspective of the picture towards the distant mountains guides the look. Likes the romantic mood of the landscape. The different pastel colours very beautiful. Calmness and peacefulness stream from the landscape.
Have a nice day!

Hi Chris. It’s a shame they are sacrificing such a natural resource for no gain but I guess they will dream something up to justify their decisions. Nicely composed with good depth and natural colours. Thanks for sharing.
Have a good weekend, Paul.

Cette rivère est mangigique, entourée de ces couleurs dorées, avec la courbe, les belle collines en fond, mangigique.

This shot reminds me of modern westerns like 'Lonestar' and 'The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada', don't know if you've seen them. It's a very good landscape with the river curving through it and contrasting so well with the earthy colours around it. Things look dry despite the river's presence. Notes about its future are interesting.

looks really like winter there. Beautiful composition in perfectv colors.

The curve of the river is an asset to the composition. It is leading our eyes toward the mountain in the background which is giving depth to the photo. The presence of the cars on the road has an effect of scale. The colors are enhanced by the quality of the light. Have a nice day.

Continuing to get me nervous with your splendid pictures taken with my first camera in 1980. ( Before the Leica R4) It is still here in front of me , on the shelves of my cabinet at the moment.
I have changed perhaps 20 cameras since then , and you still go on ..
All the best to you my friend - Izzet
